Precision DSP built on industry-standard architecture. Three principles that guide every product decision.
We design with real-time performance in mind. Every signal processing decision is made with latency and CPU efficiency as primary constraints, not afterthoughts.
Every processing choice has a reason. We don't add features for the sake of it. Each parameter, algorithm, and interface decision is deliberate and serves the sound.
Built on industry-standard architecture used by professional audio companies worldwide. VST3 and AU formats, done right.
Vector DSP is built on a straightforward idea: audio software should be honest about what it does and thoughtful about how it does it. We build DSP tools using industry-standard architecture, carefully designed to stay out of the way and let the music speak.
Five independent effect lanes. Each with its own EQ to control exactly where in the frequency spectrum that effect is applied.
Not just what happens to your sound — but precisely where it happens.
Traditional FX chains apply effects to the full frequency range. ToneLab changes that. Each lane pairs an effect with its own EQ — so you decide which frequencies receive that effect and at what intensity.
Each lane has a pre-defined effect — Chorus, Distortion, Reverb, Delay, and Saturation. No menus, no routing. Each effect lives in its own lane, always active.
Each lane has its own EQ. Use it to define exactly which frequencies that lane's effect acts on. Push reverb into the mids only. Saturate just the low end. Keep the highs clean.
All five lanes mix back into a single output. The result is a layered, frequency-aware sound design: the precision of surgical EQ with the character of your chosen effects.
Everything ToneLab is built to do. No fluff, no guesswork.
ToneLab's five lanes each carry a pre-defined effect: Chorus, Distortion, Reverb, Delay, and Saturation. Every lane is always present and independent. Adjust its EQ and mix level and let it run.
Every lane carries an EQ that acts as a frequency gate for its effect. The effect only applies where the EQ lets it through — giving you surgical control over where your processing lives in the spectrum.
Lanes run in parallel, not in series. Your dry signal feeds all five lanes simultaneously. Each processes its own frequency-shaped version and blends back into the output, preserving the integrity of the original signal.
ToneLab is developed in JUCE, the industry-standard framework for professional audio plugins. Compatible with VST3 and AU, designed to run cleanly in any modern DAW workflow.
